School Health and Safety Services

With over 10 years experience of working with headteachers and governors, our school's health and safety consultant offers a service promoting sensible risk management rather than risk aversion. Our aim is to support the more exciting aspects of pupil learning that can so easily be destroyed through excessive health and safety management. We aim to ensure that schools comply with health and safety legislation while at the same time working to the standards of OfSTED and the DfES.

Our services are available to pre-school, primary, secondary and special schools and include:

• Health and safety policy
• Risk assessment for teaching and non-teaching staff (cleaning, catering, caretakers, maintenance officers)
• Risk assessment - premises
• Fire risk assessment
• Telephone advisory service
• Health and safety training for staff and governors
• Accident reporting and accident investigation
